My FOURTH Airplane Trip (and not even one year old yet)

Here are some wonderful shots of Sofi bemba-ing on the plane ride home. She is just such a good girl. I was so proud in front of all the other travelers, everyone admired her so. And she is such a charmer!! Knows exactly when to get her charm on. Smiling, waving, doing all her tricks. And best of all, sleeping oh so peacefully. Good thing we have the sit-n-stroll. Gosh-awful ugly lookin' thing but very helpful.

She was so sleepy that she slept though the landing, customs, and woke up at the baggage claim when the sirens announcing the arrival of the luggage went off. And she sure did recognize her daddy!! She pointed at him, and then looked at Mommy for approval, and then pulled on his beard like no time had passed at all. Business as usual for Bemba! Sometimes I think it's worth the distance just to experience the wonderful reaction after a long time away.

Hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa

Since this is totally cheating (yes, I admit I've been a terrible blogger and that all these posts are back-dated) I will do a little lump-posting and try to re-create all the wonderful bemba-moments that have happened over the past few months.

So here's Sofi with Grandma and Grandpa during the last few weeks of our stay in CL. It was so great to be able to stay for so long and we all were so good at pretending that we don't have to ever leave. But then time just flies and the moment comes when you're driving to the airport and you're thinking, this can't be it!

Sofi really liked to exersize with Grandpa. It was one of their most serious bonding activities. Along with extreme diaper changing and eating old leftovers out of the fridge, of course.

Oh my oh my, these Gerber puffs are so delicious! I sure am going to miss these in Poland.

I'm Crawling! (Backwards!)

Sofi has been in the backward crawling phase for a few weeks now. It is so funny! She always manages to back herself into chair ot table legs, and under the couch of course. She really wants to go forward, you can tell how frustrating it is for her to always be moving away from her target, not towards.
Keep at it, little Bemba, you'll get it soon!

Happy Birthday Lucy!

We were so thrilled to have the chance to celebrate Lucy's (or as Luke likes to call her "Grandma Lucy") with a wonderful tiramisu that Marisha made.

Lucy, you are one wonderful lady! We are blessed to know you.

Sofi's First Snow

As soon as we woke up and saw that it was snowing like crazy, I bundled up the Bemba and took her outside for a look. She was so interested in the falling snowflakes and kept giving me this look like "mom! it's all white and wet!" it was very cute. I put her down in a pile of snow on the driveway but the snowflakes were falling into her eyes and she didn't like that very much so no photos of that.

SO MUCH TO POST

I have been procrastinating like crazy, but I suppose blogging is like exersizing; once you stop it's really hard to get back in the rhythm of things. Once Sofi and I got back home to Warsaw, I just couldn't bear to blog because our wireless internet connection was so slow that it took like forever to post, and then I got frustrated and then I started to feel guilty and I stopped altogether.
So needless to say, I'm back, so is our star, Baby Bemba, and we are happily chillin at grandma's once again, where there is highspeed internet access and no excuse.

Here are a few of our recent photos, some cute odds and ends to warm our collective hearts. Doesn't this baby just make you feel fuzzy and soft?

This is Sofi taking a bath in the sink. This happens when she makes a big poo that's too big a job for baby wipes alone. Very cute.

This is us in the car. My Bemba looks like a precious little furball in her fur that her daddy bought for her for Christmas. I just love being in the car with Sofi. Her little legs dangle out of her car seat and the sweetest thing is to watch her slowly fall asleep, sucking away at her binky. Which leaves mom with the opportunity to plant as many kisses on those perfect cheeks as she wants.

SOFI WAVES BYE-BYE!!!

You won't believe this, I hardly can, but Sofi learned to wave bye-bye last night. As I was taking her upstairs to bed, she waved back to grandma. We were so shocked and excited. She can do bye-bye or pa-pa. Bilingual already! What an exceptional child.
